Purchasing a Subscription may allow you to see additional details on the profiles of our members. You will learn about the read-status of your sent messages. This implies that members having a paid Subscription may also see additional details on your profile.

We may show our paid members whether you opened the messages they sent you.

We may display the approximate amount of our members whom you sent messages during a certain period. For example we may display: “They sent messages to more than ten members in the last month”.

We will never provide any member with usernames whom you exchanged messages with. We will never reveal demographic statistics about the recipients of your sent messages. We may show only approximate values about the volume of your messaging. We may show how much (what percentage) of the conversations were initiated by you.

We will not reveal the amount of time you spent on our Dating Site. Neither will we display how many times you signed in, not even as an approximate value.

We may show others, using your public “is looking for” data, what percentage of our members might be interesting for you.

We will not show others what percentage of our members might be interested in you. We are against any (public) kind of popularity information or contests on FindOneLove. (See below.)

We may show you, or other members, additional details only to help in selecting candidates for a long-term relationship. Helping with finding a serious relationship is the sole reason of the existence of these features.

Despite our efforts, it may happen a feature can be used in a way we did not think about. Exploiting any feature in a way violates our Privacy Policy is strictly forbidden. If you ever learn about such a possibility, you must inform us immediately.

No public “popularity contests” but private positive feedback

More or less every kind of popularity contests on dating platforms are considered wrong in our opinion. We will not proclaim either “The beauty of the month” or “The guy the most girls responds to” kind of things. “The most often liked member of the week” will also remain a hidden secret forever, each week.

If you are looking for the platform focuses on improving your self-confidence and helping you in dating, you are in the right place.

While we may display various values on the profiles on our members, none of them will be any kind of judgement or popularity rating. For example: displaying how often a given member responds to their messages tells you only one thing: how likely you’ll get a response.

We will not display the percentage of your visitors who initiated contact with you, or bookmarked or liked your profile, ever.

On the other hand, if you “went through” the automatic filters of a selective member of ours, we will tell you how awesome you are. Not that we didn’t know it before, but it won’t hurt to hear read it.

Automated analysis

We analyze and use the data we collect, by our own anti-spam and anti-fraud system. We do not use third party tools for analyzing your messages, your personal information or your activities on our Dating Site. We do not send third parties information related to your messages or profile data, not even in a statistical or anonymized form.

We may use the results of our internal analysis to prevent suspicious activities from happening on our Dating Site. We may use the result of the analysis to protect you and all of our legitimate members.

Our automated anti-fraud system recognizes certain activities. It does not recognize human intentions. It may mistakenly block members exhibiting activities similar to sending spam. You accept this.

Marketing

We do not sell or rent out your personal information to third parties without your explicit consent. We do not send you emails about third party offers.

We may send you emails regarding our own, non-third party offers, such us discounts. We may send you notification emails about your messages, matches, visitors, or similar data or events of our Dating Site. You may disable or enable these notifications. If you disable all kinds of notification, we may still send you emails containing essential information.

If you delete your account, we will not send you further emails.

Identification

Your profile and your pictures may be visible for visitors did not sign up to FindOneLove. You can opt-out of this on the Settings page. Please be aware that modern search engines may be able to “see” your profile on FindOneLove as it is seen by the signed in members.

Anyone who knows the email address you used to sign up to our Dating Site, might send you password recovery emails from us by typing your email address into the “Forgot your password?” field. This can be used to tell whether the given email address has a user account on FindOneLove. If this concerns you, we recommend you using a private, secondary email address for accessing our Dating Site. You may change your email address at any time.

Signing out. Signing in by clicking on a link in our email

FindOneLove do not sign you out automatically. If you signed in using a shared or a public computer, it is your responsibility to sign out at the end of the session.

Links in emails we send you may sign you in to our Dating Site without asking you, or the person who clicked on the link, to provide us with your password. This is secure, unless you forward someone our emails. Please never forward our emails to anyone. If you do so, the recipient may sign in to our Dating Site as they were you, and read, change or delete your data. It is your responsibility to never forward emails we send you.

If another person has access to your email account, it makes no difference whether the links in our emails sign you in or not. This person may reset your password, not only for FindOneLove, but for any website you signed up to. This remains true if, in the future, we allow you to turn off the “auto sign in from our emails” on the Settings page.

We advice you to not sign up or sign in to any dating service using a shared email account, an email account with a weak password or a shared computer.

Editing or removing your data

You may edit, alter or delete the personal data you provided to us.

Your username may not be edited by you. If you delete your profile, we will store your username for your own interest to prevent others from signing up using your username and confuse our members. No one (including you) will be able to sign up again using the username of a profile you have deleted.

When you change or remove your public data, the changes take effect on FindOneLove as soon as possible. However, it takes more time until the data is changed or removed from our safety system. Cloud services may store copies of your pictures for long periods in their cache systems.

Any ongoing legal procedure may delay the removal of your data, or prevent it from happening. This does not affect how other members will see you. If you update your data, your public profile will be updated as soon as possible.
